How we do research

We use public records only, such as DNS. We don't scan servers, send test emails or log in to anything.
We report counts, percentages and 95% confidence intervals, so you can see how sure each number is.
We keep the list of businesses private and never publish a name, a ranking or a score for any one business.
We leave our own clients and sales lists out of every sample.
