Warner Center
Warner Center is the West Valley's main business district: office towers and business parks north of the 101, between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and De Soto Avenue. Insurance, financial services, healthcare administration and professional firms fill much of it. The City of Los Angeles has planned it for decades as a regional center, and new apartments and mixed-use buildings keep adding to it.
Suites in a multi-tenant tower share the building's risers and often its internet providers, and many firms here are branches of larger organizations with their own security standards. That makes co-managed IT, clean network separation from the neighbors, and documentation that satisfies a parent company's or client's auditors common needs in Warner Center.
Medical, legal and financial practices on Ventura Boulevard
Ventura Boulevard runs the length of Woodland Hills and on into Tarzana, lined with low-rise buildings full of medical and dental practices, law firms, accountants and financial advisors. Many have no IT staff of their own and work under rules like HIPAA, client confidentiality and the FTC Safeguards Rule.
In Tarzana, the medical corridor around Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center adds specialist practices that share patients and records with the hospital. For these practices the work is mostly HIPAA compliance, secure email and messaging, and backups that keep the schedule running. See what we set up for healthcare practices, dental offices and law firms.
Calabasas, Canoga Park and the western edge of the Valley
West along the 101, Calabasas is its own city, with corporate offices and business parks near the freeway. North of Warner Center, Canoga Park and neighboring Chatsworth have light industrial and manufacturing areas, where shops depend on office systems and floor equipment working together. Our manufacturing page covers what that takes.
Wildfire season is a real planning factor here. In high fire weather, Southern California Edison can cut power to hillside and canyon areas such as Calabasas through Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and fires can close roads for days. West Valley businesses benefit from cloud-based files, battery backup for network equipment, a second internet connection, and a business continuity plan people can follow from home.
How we work with West Valley businesses
GlobeVM is a Los Angeles company that works where its clients are. Most issues are handled remotely, which is why help starts within minutes. When something needs hands, such as a failed switch, a new suite to wire, or a server that won't start, an engineer comes to you. Nobody has to bring equipment anywhere.
You call one number and reach a person in Los Angeles, often one of the owners. Support in Farsi as well as English matters to many family-owned businesses across the West Valley and neighboring Tarzana and Encino.
